We came across this little family cemetery while exploring roads we seldom take. Not many of the headstones are still readable but we saw one dated 1827 that belonged to Chauncey Beecher. He was born in Conneticut, moved to Orleans County NY and had a family. Chauncey fought in the war of 1812 and died at 42 years of age. Very peaceful location with the lake just a few steps away.
Note-While at Family Camp at Houghton University we found a cache that had a travel bug in it that had been missing for 8 years! So we grabbed it and placed it in this cache to get him back on the road again. First to find gift and a couple tradeables in this cache. No need to disturb any headstones . Enjoy this peaceful place of rest.
