The Trent Valley Trail, a long-distance walking route along the Trent, passes close to here, and this cache is placed to celebrate the trail, which will have a grand opening here on September 25.
This cache is one of a series of eight placed in coordination with the Transforming the Trent Valley (TTTV) organisation and is placed with the active involvement of the Staffordshire Wildlife Trust, who run the nearby Wolseley Centre. You may park in their grounds (small fee for half or full day's parking) or you can walk over from the nearby garden centre.
