Geocache Description:

This is the 4th of seven geocaches in a series that is designed to inform people about the history of Weathersfield, Vermont.  Each site has some significance to the town. In each cache you will find a letter of the alphabet. When you have found all 7 of the caches, arrange the letters that you have found to spell a word that has to do with a part of Weathersfield history. A clue is that this will spell out the last name of a person who never actually lived in his namesake. Email the owner of this series and receive a small gift from the historical society for your efforts.  We hope you enjoy learning and seeing a part of beautiful town.

This area was called lower Perkinsville.  Before the flood control dam was built this area had some businesses and family homes and farms around this valley.  The dam supplied electricity to some places including Jones and Lamson a manufacturing plant in Springfield.  Along this side of the river to the left of you if you are facing the river rose several businesses.
