Geocache Description:

This is the 1st cache in a series celebrating the St. Louis Cardinal's World Series wins over the years.  Each cache in this collection is placed in a location that is within view of a baseball diamond.

The Cardinals faced George Herman Ruth, Jr. and the rest of the New York Yankees in the1926 World Series.  According to newspaper reports, Babe Ruth promised a sickly boy named Johnny Sylvester that he would hit a home run for him in Game 4--and he did!  After Ruth's 3-run homer, the boy's condition miraculously improved.  The newspapers' account of the story is disputed by some baseball historians, but it's still a great story.  Despite the efforts of The Great Bambino, the Cards won the series in 7 games.

Wooden "First to Find" coin located inside, along with log.  Bring your own pen/pencil.
