Geocache Description:

The land that is now Pine Community Park was once Shalom Farms.  When working on creating a vaccine for Polio, Dr. Jonas Salk, who lived in Pine from 1947 to 1953, would visit the farm where his horse Prince was housed.  It is rumored that he would test his vaccine on Prince.  This horse is buried near the cache, marked by a gravestone.  It's quite possible that this horse contributed to the development of the polio vaccine!

As for the cache, it is a small camoed plastic tube.  Please snap the lid tightly when replacing.  Good luck!

Congratulations to Reflector2 & Sniffer46 for the co-FTF!
