The Connecticut Audubon Society Center at Fairfield is a nature center and wildlife sanctuary in the Greenfield Hill area of Fairfield, CT. The center maintains the 152-acre Roy and Margot Larsen Wildlife Sanctuary with seven miles of trails and boardwalks, including the Chiboucas wheelchair-accessible trail for the disabled. Open from dawn to dusk, the sanctuary is free to explore, though a donation is encouraged.
This cache (a small film container) is located near the intersection of the Streamside and Rock Ledge trails with Chipmunk Run in the Larsen Wildlife Sanctuary. When our sons were young, they especially loved hiking these trails and climbing and exploring the rocks and all its crevices. No need to bushwack up to GZ, just follow the trail after crossing the stream. Please bring a pen or pencil to sign the log!
