La Piramide 38° Parallelo è un’opera d’arte contemporanea che fa parte della "Fiumara d’Arte" in prossimità del comune di Motta D'Affermo, in provincia di Messina.
Si tratta di una piramide alta 30 metri e composta da lastre in acciaio corten, uno speciale materiale che, a contatto con l’aria, si ossida e assume un colore rossiccio intenso.
La piramide deve il suo nome al fatto che, nel punto in cui è costruita, la struttura è in asse con il 38° parallelo.
Entrare all’interno della Piramide 38° Parallelo è possibile soltanto durante il "rito della luce" ed in atre occasioni programmate.
L’interno della piramide è vuoto. Al centro c’è un percorso a spirale che simboleggia la strada verso la luce e la conoscenza.

The 38th Parallel Pyramid is a work of contemporary art that is part of the "Fiumara d'Arte" near the town of Motta D'Affermo, in the province of Messina.
It is a pyramid 30 meters high and composed of corten steel plates, a special material that, in contact with air, oxidizes and takes on an intense reddish color.
The pyramid owes its name to the fact that, at the point where it is built, the structure is aligned with the 38th parallel.
Entering the 38th Parallel Pyramid is only possible during the "rite of light" and on other scheduled occasions.
The inside of the pyramid is empty. In the center there is a spiral path that symbolizes the road to light and knowledge.
