Das Reiterdenkmal welche die"Energie" darstellt, wurde 1949 vom Bildhauer Edoardo Rubino errichtet. Es wurde aus Gelatinesilberbromid und Papier hergestellt.
Dieses Denkmal steht vor dem Wasserkraftwerk Glurns, das im selben Jahr nach zehnjähriger Bauzeit von der damaligen "Montecatini" eigeweiht und seinem Präsidenten Guido Donegani gewidmet wurde.
Das Kraftwerk war seinerzeit eines der größten in Südtirol mit zwei Generatoren von jeweils 55MW Leistung. Als Einzugsgebiet ist der Reschenstausee mit einer Kapazität von 116 mio m3, einer Nennfallhöhe von 584 mt und einen Einzugsgebiet von 348 km3.
Heute ist die Anlage Teil der Landesgesellschaft Alperia.

Il monumento equestre raffigurante "l'energia"fu eretto nel 1949 dallo scultore Edoardo Rubino. Il materiale è gelatina bromuro d argento e carta.
Questo monumento si trova di fronte alla centrale idroelettrica di Glorenza, la quale fu inaugurata nello stesso anno, dopo dieci anni di costruzione dalla allora Montecatini e dedicata al suo presidente Guido Donegani.
La centrale fu a suo tempo una delle più grandi dell' Alto Adige con due gruppi generatori con il totale di 110 MW di potenza. Come bacino di raccolta funge il lago artificiale di Resia con una capienza di 116 milioni m3, un salto nominale di 586m e un bacino imbrifero di 348m2.
Oggi il complesso fa parte della società provinciale Alperia.

This monument is located in front of the Glorenza hydroelectric plant, which was inaugurated the same year after ten year of construction by the "Montecatini", and dedicated its president Guido Donegani.
At the time the power plant was one of the largest trich hydropower plant in South Tyrol with two 55MW generator sets. The artificial lake of Resia serves as a catchement area with a capacity of 116 mio m3, at a nominal head of 586 m and a catchment area of 348 km2.
Today the plant is part of the provincial company Alperia.
