Geocache Description:

One year ago, on 17 August 2021, we were staying at Crom Estate, a National Trust property in County Fermanagh, when we saw a sign in the visitor centre suggesting we try something called "geocaching". What on earth is that? we wondered...

Twelve months on and we're perfectly addicted to this healthy, enquiring, occasionally sneaky hobby - it gets us out of the house, visiting new places, and encourages us to use our brain cells to solve puzzles and our muscles to trek and stretch our way to those elusive containers.

We haven't been hugely prolific finders in that time - just under one cache a day - and our trail is littered with more DNFs than i care to think about, but we love doing it anyway! And we've found ourselves delighted, impressed and occasionally bemused by the imagination and ingenuity of other cachers in this part of the world.

To mark our first anniversary of geocaching, we've extended our Belmont Walk series with a simple cache and dash off Sydenham Road, a lovely residential street running from Holywood Road to Circular Road. There's plenty of on-street parking near GZ.

Happy hunting and to all our fellow cache owners - TFTCs!
