The Warrego River that runs through Charleville, regularly floods and since the 2011 flood, the town has been protected by a levee. Along the north side of the river is a beautiful 1.4 kilometre walking track designed by local Aboriginal people: the ‘Wadyanana Pathway’ meaning ‘I’ll be walking around somewhere else when he comes.’
Warrego means ‘river of sand’ in the Aboriginal language.
This cache is for the keen fisherman among us, The Warrego is often fished with a bobbing pole which you may need to retrieve this Geocache suspended in the tree. I may off been fishing here and had my float caught in the branches
Remember if you cannot put it back, please do not try knock it down.
This location is at the start of the river walk path from town of Charleville so is a great spot to spend some time.
Stealth is not really a problem at this spot so have fun.
