[IT] Situato presso l'Arsenale Nord, il Building Bridges, una gigantesca installazione di Lorenzo Quinn costituita da 6 coppie di mani in marmo di Carrara che partono dai due argini per intrecciarsi e formare un ponte. L’opera, alta 15 metri e lunga 20, vuole celebrare 6 valori universali dell’uomo: Amicizia, Fede, Aiuto, Amore, Speranza e Saggezza.
Venezia, famosa per essere una città di connessioni grazie ai suoi canali e attraversamenti, storica base del commercio internazionale e tutt'ora come centro di scambi artistici, è il luogo ideale per diffondere un messaggio di unità che collega società, nazioni, comunità e individui attraverso la costruzione di ponti.
Amicizia: la solennità di due mani che toccano delicatamente, ma con fermezza crea una simmetria che esprime uno stato di fiducia e sostegno, basato sull'esperienza reciproca e guardando avanti, verso un futuro insieme.
Fede: la stretta di una piccola mano che stringe le dita di un genitore in cieca fiducia è un promemoria della responsabilità di coltivare le nostre giovani generazioni a crescere in fiducia, autostima e affidabilità.
