Although the date of establishment of Ozone Shrine is unknown, it is said that it was called Suzume no Miya and was the guardian shrine of Ozone Village. It is said that in 1909, the Aza Mukaigawara Ten Shrine and the Aza Nishiura Inari Shrine were enshrined together, and the name was changed to Ozone Shrine.
小曽根神社の創建年代等は不詳ながら、雀宮と称し、小曾根村の鎮守社だったといいます。明治41年に字向河原天神社、字西浦稲荷神社を合祀、小曽根神社と改称したといいます。
