Fairmont, nestled in the heart of Marion County, has always been called the friendly city. Its history dates back to the civil war with countless historical events happening since. Not only is Fairmont a hub for historically significant events, but it also shares the cultural heart of the area. Whether that be the local businesses that put Fairmont on the map or the two rivaling highschools within its boarders, there is a lot to unpack.
SOLVE THE PUZZLE
This puzzle will be a bit different. In order to obtain the final combination to unlock the geocache, you will first need to complete the 'I Spy With My Little Eye' adventure lab. TAP HERE to be redirected. After completing all five sequential stages, the final code will appear in the journal. If you have already completed this adventure lab, the code will show up in your journal on the fifth entry.
FIND THE CACHE
After answering the above questions, use the instructions below to locate the final container.
IMPORTANT: This geocache is hidden near a residential property. Permission has been granted for the placement of this cache, but please follow the instructions EXACTLY to avoid ending up where you are not supposed to be. No night caching is permitted.
Facing the image of Fairmont Senior High School (FSHS) on the mural, turn right and look across the street to a small boutique. To the right of this store, you should see a large gravel parking lot. Standing in the gravel parking lot, you'll find a set of stairs, painted brown, leading up to the second floor and a large Crepe Myrtle bush. (DO NOT GO UP THE STAIRS) The geocache is mounted on the right side of the staircase, near the base, hidden by the bush. Please be respectful of the neighboring properties and do not mess around with any property that is not labeled 'Official Geocache.' I have included an image in the gallery as a spoiler.
