MMC #7: Colorful Campus

Fairmont State University is a college known for its art and creativity. Many of the murals you will visit on the geocaching trail such as the two at Palatine Park are designed and painted by students of FSU. We invite you to visit campus and check out all the art that can be found in the central area of campus. To find and open this geocache, you will need to visit several murals, using the clues below. Two of the murals are located inside, but both can be viewed through the windows in the event the building is closed during your visit. Lastly, since this is a college campus, you might find the questions are a little more demanding; we can't make them all easy park and grabs, can we? Happy caching!

This cache is a bit different in the fact you will need to explore several different areas on campus and answer a variety of questions about the artwork found here. Please follow the instructions below and answer questions about each waypoint.

Start at the posted coordinates and enter the Falcon Center. As you enter, there will be a large mural on the wall to the left. Answer the following questions:

ABCD = What four-digit number can be seen above an entryway near the bottom of the mural?

Proceed through the Falcon Center and continue down the steps. Look to the right in the pool area to locate the second mural and answer the following questions:

E = How many total clown fish are depicted on the mural?

If the Falcon Center is closed, you will be able to look through the windows at the supplied waypoints to make observations about each of the murals. Proceed to waypoint three. You will likely pass 'The Victory Bell,' which is always decorated in fun colors. Don't forget to stop and grab a picture for GC7B7KB! Once at waypoint three, walk through the tunnel and answer the following questions:

FG = What is the home score of the Fighting Falcons on the mural celebrating FSU's 150th anniversary?

H = How many individual colors (not including the color of the palette) are on the palette in the second mural?

I = Near the end, how many red hearts can be seen on the white "WV Teachers" flag?

After exiting the tunnel, continue on the sidewalk, keeping the silver sculpture to your left. About 200 feet from the tunnel you'll find a food pantry box. You can find your prize hidden here.

To obtain the lock combination perform the following equation: (((ABCD+G) / I) / E) - FG - H
