Golden Cache History
11/21/2009: The first geocache in Magnuson Park is hidden - the Golden Cache by the aptly named geocacher "golden cache" in the Magnuson Park Wetlands
11/21/2009: The same day user "Towtrkdug" achieves the FTF.
5/15/2020 - The Magnuson Golden Cache becomes my second ever geocache.
1/22/2022 - The Magnuson Golden Cache goes missing and is archived by its owner after almost 1,500 finds
4/25/2022 - The former location of the Golden Cache is occupied by the geocache GC9RWXC entitled "Swamp Monster"
8/19/2022 - While scouting hiding locations for puzzle caches, I restumble across the old Golden Cache container - now geolitter - and decide to give this old historic cache new life. Like the phoenix, this cache has rise again; same old container, new paint job.
8/6/2023 - Just under a year later, the original container goes missing and is replaced... will it be gone forever this time or is this a mere chapter in the Golden Cache's 14 year long history?
The Cache
As with the original Golden Cache, bring something golden to swap. If you don’t have anything, that’s ok, too. Just take something that you like; the cache holds plenty of golden swag to go around. The new location is fairly secluded, but near a sports field so exercise stealth! Please rehide well so this cache may exist for another 13 years!
