Please don't park in front of the Cement Blocks or on the gravel or in front of gates as those are private driveways. Leave ample room for trucks towing boats and RV's to turn. I will have to archive these caches if people keep blocking the driveways and space beside. This road is very narrow and busy with boat and RV traffic. If there are other cachers parked, please park on the same side as them to keep the road as wide as possible. There is ample space away from the trail head to park...you can handle the extra 25m walk, I know it! The sign for the trailhead is tough to spot unless you are driving east back towards Norman Lake Road but it is there!
I was browsing the Backroads Map Book and noticed this trail. What a wonderful little discovery! I hope you enjoy the route! These aren't difficult caches (except where the gps is bouncy), it's more about the wonderful wander through the woods. The painted wooden sign at the beginning of the trail was made by one of the lake residents who we met as we were pulling on our hiking boots, who was very excited to show us the way. You'll notice a lot of his woodwork along the road if you want to have a browse and check out the book exchange cache a little further along! Please be Bear Aware, grizzlies in area.
