Hattiesburg GeoTour
With more than 40 geocache hides to find, Hattiesburg offers one of only 100 active official GeoTours worldwide. Presented by VisitHATTIESBURG, the Hattiesburg GeoTour is the first of its kind in Mississippi. Locate a minimum of 35 of the GeoTour caches and turn in your completed passport to receive your official Hattiesburg GeoTour Geocoin!
Cache Location
If you’ve been pining to getaway, (See what we did there!?!) come renew your spirit here at Longleaf Piney Resort (LPR). You don’t need to pack too much. Some comfortable clothes. A good book. Stuff to make s’mores maybe. If you want to mix in some exercise, the 44-mile Longleaf Trace is nearby. Mississippi’s best dining and shopping is just moments away. Come relax with good friends or reconnect with family. Spend a night at this Piney Woods Resort and try not to s'more.

The Hide
The cache is an ammo can hidden within a custom-built "container" hidden in plain sight. The cache container was constructed by talented woodworker and friend of the Hattiesburg Geotour - Brad Allen - who also constructed several other cache containers. The beautiful stained glass door and windows are works of art by the talented glass artist Kyle Baughman with Hub City Stained Glass. This might be the most magnficent cache on the Hattiesburg GeoTour!
There's a small keyed padlock to keep the cache closed and to make it more difficult to be muggled. You'll find the key at the base (ground) of the cache inside an odd item for this location.
Please mind LPR's signage and not travel down the driveway toward the tiny houses, unless you are a registered guest. Please park in the designated parking area located just beyond the cache.
