Hattiesburg GeoTour
With more than 40 geocache hides to find, Hattiesburg offers one of only 100 active official GeoTours worldwide. Presented by VisitHATTIESBURG, the Hattiesburg GeoTour is the first of its kind in Mississippi. Locate a minimum of 35 of the GeoTour caches and turn in your completed passport to receive your official Hattiesburg GeoTour Geocoin!
Cache Location
Optimist Park is located in West Hattiesburg, in Lamar County. It's home to the Oak Grove Athletic Association where the baseball league is a member of Dixie Youth Baseball. The park is used for practice, league play, and youth baseball tournaments held in the Pine Belt area. The park is also home to the Arnold Line Voting Precinct and Community Center, as well as J's Place playground, built in 2014.
The Hide
This is a two-stage multicache. The first stage is a micro that contains an image that you'll need a smartphone with a working camera to access. The second stage (Final) is a small, watertight lock-and-lock container large enough for small trackables and trade items.
