La panchina gigante di Linguaglossa, situata alle pendici dell'Etna, è la panchina numero 200 del Big Bench Community Project, organizzazione no profit che ha l’obiettivo di promuovere e sostenere lo sviluppo e la conoscenza del territorio attraverso la costruzione di grandi panchine.
La nascita del progetto risale al 2010, quando Chris Bangle realizzò la prima panchina gigante a Clavesana, nelle Langhe, borgo piemontese. Lì ha avuto l’idea di costruire un’installazione fuori scala, che permettesse al visitatore di tornare, in qualche modo, un bambino, meravigliandosi di fronte alla bellezza del mondo.

The giant bench of Linguaglossa, located on the slopes of Etna, is bench number 200 of the Big Bench Community Project, a non-profit organization that aims to promote and support the development and knowledge of the area through the construction of large benches.
The birth of the project dates back to 2010, when Chris Bangle created the first giant bench in Clavesana, in the Langhe, a Piedmontese village. There he had the idea of building an out-of-scale installation, which would allow the visitor to return, in some way, a child, marveling at the beauty of the world.
