When your Geo-buddy (who shall remain nameless) hides a cache for PGCAR, and completely forgets all about it until exactly one year later, what's a friend to do but grab her life mate geo-partner in crime to make sure it's still there (it is) then submit it for the this years PGCAR as an official PGCAR “oops” geocache! After all, after the Divided "oops" incident from last year (now located at GC9F27Y) and CindyLouWho2's excellent rehide (Divided: Oops GC9GD4V), it only seemed right.
And what a wonderful surprise this place was. THIS is why I geocache.
The cache is located at the lower mud river recreation site, an area I didn't even know existed. After quickly finding the cache (and signing the log), TheWhammo and I made our way to explore the beach when a lovely young man arrived on his quad. As it turns out this is a very popular place (annoyingly popular, said he) in the summer for families to play. He mentioned that the locals often come with garbage bags to help keep the area clean, and while there was no garbage here today it sure would be nice if you packed a small bag with you to do the same when you come for the find.
The cache is located near the parking lot, and hidden in such a way that it may require you to hide it better than you found it to prevent it from being muggled.
After the find, make sure to make your way down to the beach and take a minute to appreciate the beauty that life has to offer. And maybe take another minute to write in your log about the last time you said "Oops!"
