Basilica di Santa Giusta Traditional Cache

La Basilica di Santa Giusta è una chiesa risalente al XII secolo, in stile romanico. Costruita interamente con l'arenaria della penisola del Sinis, è rimasta tuttora perfettamente conservata. Si trova su un poggio raggiungibile da una scalinata in pietra. Davanti alla chiesa, un piazzale alberato dove ci si può riposare. Il territorio di Santa Giusta, in provincia di Oristano, fu sede di Othoca, città fenicio-punica, poi romana, abbandonata nel Medioevo quando l’abitato si concentrò attorno al poggio occupato dalla cattedrale. 

The Basilica of Santa Giusta is a church dating back to the 12th century, in Romanesque style. Built entirely with the sandstone of the Sinis peninsula, it has remained perfectly preserved. It is located on a hillock reached by a stone staircase. In front of the church, a tree-lined square where you can rest. The territory of Santa Giusta, in the province of Oristano, was the seat of Othoca, a Phoenician-Punic city, later Roman, abandoned in the Middle Ages when the town was concentrated around the hill occupied by the cathedral.
