When i paddled my kayak up this South fork of Lake Wilson a few times before i would often see people fishing off these banks and wondered how did they make it here without a boat or kayak.
If you do want to go fishing in the Wahiawa Freshwater State Recreation Area, you may need to purchase a freshwater fishing license and also get the free Wahiawa Public Fishing Area entry permit.
Wahiawa Recreation Area opens 7am to 6:45pm everyday.
