The Howard County Historical Village is a collection of original pioneer-era buildings from the early days of Howard County, Nebraska. It consists of seven buildings on 6th Street (Between Indian & Jay Streets) and a merchant’s house at 1005 6th Street. The depot was the only building built outside of Howard County.

As with any Geocache, use stealth, respect property, CITO (cache in and trash out), be aware of your surroundings at all times, have fun and stay safe. You're encouraged to visit this site when the HCHV is open, Memorial Day - Labor Day on Saturday and Sunday from 1:00pm - 4:00pm, or contact the Howard Co. Historical Society to schedule a tour, so you can experience and enjoy the various other displays of Howard County history. This Wherigo can be completed even if the village is closed, weather permitting, 7 days a week during daylight hours only. HCHS URL

**NOTE** A few of the stages in this Wherigo are in very close proximity and questions pop up when you’re less than 40’ from the given coordinate for that zone. When you answer a question correctly, click “OK” then read the description of the next stage PRIOR to moving on. Some answers may be found within the stage's description.

The images, descriptive text on the cache page and Wherigo zones, questions and answers are all courtesy of the Howard County Historical Village brochure, Historical Society member interviews, website research and my personal observations and photos.

Permission for this Wherigo and its cache hide have been given by the Howard County Historical Society.
