The cache is NOT at the posted coordinates. To obtain the coordinates, solve the puzzle below.
Puzzle #14: May the SOURCE be with you!
The source code is the language behind the cache page. This provides several unique ways to hide information. The source code can be viewed on a Windows PC, either by right-clicking, then viewing the page source, or Ctrl+U. On a MAC this can be viewed using the Safari Develop menu. It can also be accessed directly on apps such as Cachly.
Make sure that "Line Wrap" has a check mark beside it. This will keep you from having to scroll sideways on the Source Code page.
Once in the source code Press Ctrl+F (Find) to search for text on the screen. Search for “usersupplied” or “users” to find the beginning of the information that the puzzle owner entered when creating the listing on geocaching.com. Look for comments. Any text that occurs between the <!–- and –> is ignored when rendering the caching page and are called HTML comments. These do not appear on the cache page itself. When viewing the source using any of the three browsers, comments are displayed in green.
The Puzzle
At first glance, you may have made the connection from the name of the cache, as to how to solve this puzzle. Try getting into the habit of looking for hidden text and exploring the source code when solving puzzles.
We have chosen locations for caches where it is safe to pull off the road within a short distance of GZ. Under NO circumstance should driveways and gates be blocked or used for parking. With nearby property owners in mind, these geocaches have been placed out of view and away from private residences, so as not to cause alarm. Please be mindful of the local community, and have a friendly chat with them if they stop by.
