The cache is NOT at the posted coordinates. To obtain the coordinates, solve the puzzle below.

Puzzle #06: The Arts

Many puzzle caches feature some form of the Arts, including Painting, Literature, Cinema, Music and Theatre.

For this puzzle, we will be concentrating on movie stars.

The good news is with a puzzle of 15 images, we can usually assume we are looking for one number per image.

As the posted coordinates begin with S37, the first number we are seeking should be a 3. Once you can determine how to obtain the numbers for 3 and 7, you can be fairly confident you are on the correct track.

A reverse image search will help you with identifying these movie stars. There are a couple of easy ways to do this. One option is to save the images to your desktop, then using Google Images, drag the image onto the search bar. Alternatively, if using Google Chrome, right click on one of the images below, and select "search image with Google Lens". Now that you know who or what the image is, you can begin to decipher what relevant information about the person or object may lead you to the number you seek.

Some common ways numbers can be obtained from the subject of an image include, the numerical value of the first letter in a name or word, the number of letters in the name, the digital root of a word (adding up the numerical value of each letter in a word or phrase until you get to a single digit), or a particular number from a DOB or DOD (eg the month or other number).

The Puzzle

We have chosen locations for caches where it is safe to pull off the road within a short distance of GZ. Under NO circumstance should driveways and gates be blocked or used for parking. With nearby property owners in mind, these geocaches have been placed out of view and away from private residences, so as not to cause alarm. Please be mindful of the local community, and have a friendly chat with them if they stop by.
