Puzzle #02: OCR – Image to Text Converter

OCR stands for "Optical Character Recognition". It is a technology that recognizes text within a digital image. It is commonly used to recognize text in scanned documents and images. OCR software can be used to convert a physical paper document, or an image into an accessible electronic version with text.

We have all looked at puzzles where the text information is within an image. There are free online OCR Image to Text converters, however, depending on the image, they may not always be accurate.

The Puzzle

Try uploading the image to one of the OCR Image to Text Converters.

Let’s try this website: Small SEO Tools

Now that you have the resulting text, you can copy and paste it as needed to try and solve the puzzle.

Multi solvers are another tool that can assist in deciphering a puzzle. They will try to match the puzzle text against a number of different ciphers to find the correct one. Try copying the resulting text into this MultiSolver to see if any of the output makes sense.

We have chosen locations for caches where it is safe to pull off the road within a short distance of GZ. Under NO circumstance should driveways and gates be blocked or used for parking. With nearby property owners in mind, these geocaches have been placed out of view and away from private residences, so as not to cause alarm. Please be mindful of the local community, and have a friendly chat with them if they stop by.
