Mills Reservation is a 157.15 acre reservation and was gifted to Essex County Park system by the Davilla Mills Foundation. We are grateful to David and Ella Mills for this gift. Our family has enjoyed hikes throughout this park for many years, during many stages of our lives. We hope you enjoy the trails. The park is full of squirrels, chipmunks, deer, birds and more. Please note there are many hikers/walkers with dogs on and off leash at the park. This Mills cache is named after one of our dogs who loved this place, along with our Marley who also has a cache in his honor here. We hope everyone will enjoy the trails and remember that we live on a very beautiful planet that needs our care and protection.
