Megs stache Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Cuilcagh: Hi, I'm archiving this cache as it is placed against the Guidelines as advised last September.
As the situation has not been remedied in the 6+months that I have allowed you, I'm afraid I have no option.
I cannot allow cachers to continue to find a cache that is against the Guidelines.
Regards,
Cuilcagh.

Geocache Description:

Located in the beautiful harbour/village of Leenane.

Leenaun, also Leenane, is a village and 1,845 acre townland in County Galway, Ireland, on the southern shore of Killary Harbour and the northern edge of Connemara. Leenaun lies where the deep u-shaped Maam Valley, bounded by the Devilsmother to the east, and the massif of Leenaun Hill to the west, meets Killary Harbour, Ireland's deepest fjord. Across the fjord from the village, is the massif of Ben Gorm, with the larger massif of Mweelrea behind it; while to the east, lie the scenic Aasleagh falls. The village is on the route of the Western Way long-distance trail and the Wild Atlantic Way.

- Wikipedia

A number of the scenes in Jim Sheridan's 1990 movie 'The Field' - based on the play by John B Keane - were filmed on location in Leenane. These included the fight scene at Aasleigh Falls, the dance hall in Leenane, and some of the inside scenes were filmed in Gaynor's traditional pub in the village. The Bull McCabe's (played by Richard Harris) house was a stone cottage on the Clifden Road in Leenane.

This cache was placed to honour my late aunt who's ashes were spread out at sea near the harbour in 2016.

The cache is located behind the bottle banks on the opposite side in the wall.

Contain is a white pill type bottle

Enjoy the beautiful scenery.
