Geocache Description:

WCW is the Whittlesea Challenge Wander.

This is a series of 30 Challenge caches along a well made fire trail, plus a couple for the serious hikers amongst us that dont mind a bit of off trail walking. Wandering through the southern section of the Mount Disappoinment State Forest, the trail is often closed to vehicles, and may require a 4WD when open. You can however park at one of the parking waypoints provided at any time of the year and enjoy the wander on foot. The red section of track indicated on the map above is private property. There is no access between Bruces Creek Rd and the forest along this section of track. Access is instead from Phone track. The section marked in pink is off track and requires wandering through dense bush. You should ensure you are fully prepared for any finds made in this area.

There is no time limit, qualifying caches can be found BEFORE or AFTER this challenge was published.

Conditions to claim the smiley:

1. Find enough Letterbox caches to obtain 80 different attributes(Positive or Negative).

2. Only Letterbox caches qualify

3. You must sign the physical log inside the container to claim the smiley.

Update 11/9/22 - Part of the northern section of Phone Track is temporarily closed to all vehicles and pedestrians due to logging works in that area. There are no challenges published within this area. The temporary road closure however, may prevent you from completing the trail in a full circuit as intended, until works are complete.

How do I know if I have done that I hear you ask?

It is quite simple really. Just head to the project GC website, using the link below, and check if you qualify. If you get a tick from the checker, you are good to go, and can find, sign and log the cache. If you don't yet qualify, you may sign the log, and post a write note accepting the challenge.

I hope you enjoyed the walk. Please make sure you return the container to exactly where you found it.

Please take this challenge in the fun spirit that it has been created with. This challenge has not been deliberately designed to exclude or discriminate against any Geocachers, but to create a sense of achievement when you reach certain goals.
