The original Geocache was placed on the lower slopes of Firthhope Rig, a remote and difficult place to reach so not many hillwalking Geocachers managed to find it.

The new location is close to the top of the Grey mare's tail waterfall, an arduous climb itself but plenty of visitors manage it, to be rewarded by tremendous views of the fifth largest waterfall in Scotland and a restful destination at Lock Skeen, or if they are fit enough to make the climb to Firthhope Rig on the way to White Coomb, the highest Corbett in Southern Scotland.
