Congrats to bucknuts for the FTF!
At GZ, you will find what appears to be a simple neighborhood park in a quiet neighborhood just off the busy thoroughfare of Hurstbourne Parkway. You may see families enjoying the outdoors, or the silence of a small pocket of nature in an otherwise busy part of the suburbs. A piece of nostalgia for many cachers; an area where children can climb, swing, and otherwise enjoy great weather and some of the simple freedoms of youth. Many of us have fond memories of those days and many would have at one point wished to never grow up and simply enjoy those days forever. Or perhaps wished to encounter Peter Pan and fly away to Neverland, and never ever grow up! This SCP does exactly that.
SCP 3082 is an entrance to an alternate world which is called home by 74 children known to the foundation as Neverland's Lost Children. These children live in a village of small treehouses in the branches of a 160km tall tree. The tree grows different types of food and collects clean rainwater the children live on. They do not appear to age in this dimension, and since they are unable to leave either, they have established a formal system of government to help keep peace and grow the village as others arrive. Out of respect for the system, the foundation has made formal diplomatic contact with the Chief Royal Council, while researching and assisting the children with village improvement and resources. While many of the children enjoy their new found freedom, many are more than happy to work with the foundation to find a way back to the "real word." For as much joy and freedom they have, it seems even these children understand that at some point, it's good to come home.
You will not need to find a treehouse for this cache, but it is close enough to a tree to work as a similar entry point. When you arrive, you will be faced with a choice, but keep in mind that this is designed for younger cachers and your initial thoughts may lead you to unnecessary work. So, embrace your inner child
