The soccer pitch honours Tom Carr. Known as “Prescott’s Mr. Soccer”, he was a founding member of the Prescott Minor Soccer Association and held the position of president for more than 30 years. Tom lived from 1922 to 2005. He was inducted into the Brockville and area Sports Hall of Fame in 1996 as well as receiving the Prescott Community Award in 2000. A trophy named after him is presented annually to the top footballer.
This is not a difficult cache. Your biggest challenge will be to find a way into the field. Although it is possible to enter the park from the west (Georgina Street), there is better parking and easier access from the east (Prince Street) end of the park.
