This Years Flash Mob

To celebrate the 20th anniversy of Geocaching (22 years ago), and Canada's FIRST GIGA event, And the return of the World Wide Flash Mob, lets celebrate by looking at world flags. There were many countries at the Event, and this event is hosted in Many countries around the world. (Currently at 11 at the time of posting). In the Past, up to 52 countries at once. This year bring a flag NOT from Canada (There is lots of them and I will bring the Canada Flag). Maybe it is the counrty your famliy came from. Or one that you like to visit. Or maybe plan to visit. The variety the better.

What to bring:

A flag from another country -- When logging your Will Attend, include the flag you are planning to bring.

Agenda:

1050 - 1059 Find parking nearby. There is a shopping center across the road. And parking at the top of the hill near playground.

1059 Make your way to GZ

1100 Recive a "ticket"

1105 Arange to take photo with all the flags.

1110 Take photo.

1111 - 1125 Visit and tell stories, sign logbook

1125 Make draw for door prize

1130 Event over, you may leave or stay.

History of WWFM

Podcachers Sonny and Sandy came up with the WWFM idea in 2007 after attending a mega-event. It was meant to be a fun “opposite” of a mega-event with all the cool aspects of a geocaching event, crammed into 15 minutes of excitement. "WW" - World Wide – represents these events occurring across the planet on the same day at (mostly) the same time! These caching events are intended to bring geocachers together in a creative way, as well as introduce others (newbies) to the hobby. (click)
