Haring Family Cemetery Geocache

This Cemetery is one of the several family burial grounds in Rivervale. As the name suggests, this particular site was reserved for the Haring family. The Haring Family were some of the earlier settlers, settling here at first in the 1760s. Sometime in the 1990s, a housing development was created, and the developer improved the land and then gave it to the township. When that happened the town searched for a family member of the Haring family so they could officially give the deed of the land for several years but were unable to find anyone suitable. The cemetery has been subject to vandalism over time, but thankfully several local Eagle Scout projects have been undertaken to preserve the site. One of the more recent ones was by Anakin Rybacki, who took all of the tombstones/ pieces and cemented them together, as previously many were scattered parts.
