People will inevitably claim there are references to zombies in Scripture which comes from not distinguishing between reanimation & resurrection. Both are a form of renewal, but resurrection is a progression whereas reanimation implies a regression, or retrogression. Still, these words from a major prophet give pause ...

Your dead will live with my dead body, they will rise.
Awake and sing, you that dwell in dust,
your dew is as the dew of herbs,
the Earth will cast out the dead.
Come, my people, enter your chambers, shut your doors;
briefly hide until the wrath is past.

The nation of Israel, captive in Babylon for 70YRS, were considered a dead people, belonging to Yahweh &, therefore, collectively His "dead body". As they prepared to return to their homeland, their practice would be to gather the bones of those who died in Babylon for proper burials, or "cast out" their dead from the Earth. A time would come to celebrate, e.g., "awake & sing", but they needed to bide their time until danger, or 'wrath', passes. The poetic & prophetic nature of the language seems to reference zombies, but it's worded so as to ambiguously reference the resurrection of an actual body as well as when His people will ultimately enter a new Earth as "our chambers". So ... whose words are these?
