Lx2 has decided to host a WWFM event. Everyone is welcome!
The plan: On Saturday, September 24, 2022 at 12:00 noon, hundreds of events all around the world all happening at the same time will bring together geocachers and introduce others to geocaching. This will be a rain or shine event.
Schedule:
Noon - Arrive at ground zero. A bucket will be placed at the designated coordinates to signify the start of the event.
12:01 pm - A log sheet will be provided.
12:05 pm - Introduce yourself to a geocacher you don't know and say hi to those you do know. Trade/record travelers and trackables. LX2 collects pathtags so bring yours to trade. Grab a snack if you wish but know that if you come hungry you will be leaving hungry too.
12:15 pm - Assemble for the group picture to submit to the World Wide Event.
12:20 pm - FTF (First to Find) awarded to someone on the log sheet.
12:25 pm - Door prizes will be handed out to a few more lucky geocachers.
12:30 pm - WWMF XIX is over!
If everything goes right we will have lots of people converging on one spot for a 30 minute geocaching event and then disappearing. Should be fun and very confusing to any observing muggles.
We will practice CITO and make sure the immediate event area is cleaned up as we leave.
