Before we had the modern pools at Veteran's Memorial Park, we had Spring Pond, fed by the Podunk River. It was THE PLACE to cool off in the '40s and '50s. Catch a glimpse of this pond through the foliage while looking for this cache.
We are Girl Scout Troop 10943, and we are placing geocaches across several parks across South Windsor parks to earn our Silver Award, with the goal of encouraging kids to get outdoors rather than staying inside on electronics. By doing so, we hope to get families outside as well, and promote lesser known parks they may not have visited before.Great for family bonding!
