Yes it’s that time of year again. It’s my annual (though I'm putting it on a bit late this year)
CacheWars or Duckwars(Kinda)
Yes I know it's nowhere near May the 4th but so what !
Now for the event itself. The Chesterfield canal is one of the most beautiful waterways in the country and I’ve spend many a day here caching. So I’d like to bring you all here for a play/picnic so hopefully you bring the nice weather with you. Oh and bring food. Otherwise it’ll be a pretty poor picnic.
For the play part well I’ve set the event near one of the canals many locks and I will be running a duck race! No need to bring ducks they will be provided and a small entrance fee/ donation will be asked for with all profits going towards the annual uk mega's so bring a couple of quid or PayPal is accepted. There will be prizes for top places so if your free that Sunday why not come along for a couple of hours. Hopefully there will be a few caches coming out (and maybe some labs) on the day also so there will be a couple of FTF up for grabs.
There will also be a free range fun duck race at the end in which you can enter your own ducks so please bring along any ducks that would like to enter this race (Charles duckings this one's for you)
For the little ones ones that are coming please make sure you bring a responsible big cacher as we will be near the water.
If ariving from great north road way either park at Ladybridge on the right before the bridge and walk down to the canal or alternatively park at the old London road car park and walk down the other way. If coming from Retford way then the same but please cross over the bridge and park on the left. Try to keep cars just to one side of the road.
See you there :-) .
