The cache is located in the oldest part of Petersburg. The city was involved in the Revolutionary War and experienced a 9 month siege during the Amercian Civil War. The building this cache is in front of was struck by Union Army cannon fire during the siege.
This cache is located in a specially built compartment in a Little Free Library that Steven G constructed. In this library are books relating to history, art and photography. The geocache is locked with a combination padlock.
The combination is as follows: turn dials so the number combination of 3-6-0 lines up with the red stripe. To lock, turn the shackle to the closed position, and hold it down while scrambling numbers. (The lock was replaced with a new one on September 5, 2023. The combination is still 360.)
