Join GeocacheAlaska! as we help with trail maintenance on the Rabbit Creek Greenbelt!

Meet at the posted coordinates to receive work assignments which may require dispersing to other trailheads in the green belt (coordinates provided as trailhead waypoints on this page).

We'll be doing light brushing, filling box stairs with gravel, and releveling wooden stairs and boardwalks.   You do not need to commit to the entire five hours, so choose your best 1-2 hour block of time and add it to your "will attend" log.  The barbecue will be hot between 1200-1300, so plan on working 1000-1200 and eating or starting your day with lunch at noon and working afterwards.

Please bring walkie-talkie and Rino sets to facilitate communication between work crews because cell phone coverage is spotty in the ravine.

Tools will be provided, but we recommend bringing your own water, safety glasses, ear plugs and work gloves. 

The Northwest Trails mapset includes the Rabbit Creek Greenbelt Trails. Loading the mapset into your GPS will be helpful for navigating to the worksites.

This area has a high wildlife concentration. Bring bear spray if it will help you feel more comfortable and you know you to use it.  Canines are welcome - but you are responsible to keep them leashed and/or under direct control if you bring them!
