THE GEOCACHE is a two inch (5cm) long, coloured metal tubular container, hidden at the base of a tree, sixty feet from the path. The entrance into the trees is a short distance east of a litter bin. After going into the trees, the cache is at the back, in a dead end on the left. There is a log roll, but no pencil, and no room for anything else.
THE VENUE for the HRTE series is a family friendly route along the east section of the Hamble Rail Trail, between where the HRT crosses Hamble Lane near the primary school, and the car park entrance to the Roy Underdown Pavilion. The HRT continues down to the BP oil refinery on Hamble Lane, but I did not find any suitably secure hides along this section. The route is off road, but beware of traffic in the car parks, and when crossing roads.
