About SideTracked Events
This event belongs to the SideTracked series. It is not designed to take you to a magical place with a breath taking view. It's a distraction for the weary traveller, but anyone else can go and find it too. More Information can be found at the SideTracked Website
SideTracked - Enfield Town
This event is being held just around the corner to Enfield Town Train Station during the times quoted above, which I wanted to hold whilst I stay nearby, with the hope being to meet some local cachers, so looking forward to meeting you there!
Enfield Town Train Station
Enfield Town Train Station was initially opened on 1st March 1849 known as Enfield, then later changed to Enfield Town on 1st April 1886. Once under the care of National Express, the station having 3 platforms more recently in 2015 switched over to form part of London Overground, and can see additional trains operating on match days to Tottenham Hotspur FC. Interestingly, a house once stood on site from the 17th Century until 1872, which was once the birthplace of Isaac D'Israeli (father of Benjamin D'Israeli), with the brickwork being dismantled then reconstructed inside the South Kensington Museum.
