We usually ride ATV's to this spot when we visit Knolls. It is an interesting area. It is about a 4 mile ride. If you don't have ATV's or a 4x4, you could probably drive on the frontage road just North of the railroad tracks and hike South to this spot. (I have not verified that it is possible to cross the tracks at the point where the cache is directly South of the frontage road). It can get pretty hot here from April to September. Bring water. Hiking it is not recommeded from the East.
I originally hid this geocache on Sept 27, 2020. A few novices were unable to find it and it was archived before I had a chance to verify that it was still there (which it was). Those of you who have already found it now have an opportunity to find it again :). It was called Homage 4x4 Grills.
