Another geocache partially dedicated to my ex-Amish grandmother, Fredericksburg Park is a relatively new addition to the village. I grew up hearing stories about my grandma's family buggy sliding down icy hills trying to get to the now-defunct Fredericksburg Market. This is a quaint area with a lot to offer, including green spaces and local shops. There are about three restaurants in the village open for dinner almost every night. The surrounding area includes many sights to see if you're travelling through Amish Country. Many of these areas are also kid-friendly, and there are many activities in and near Amish Country that are perfect for children.
Fair warning, the nearest gas stations are in Holmesville, Apple Creek, and one in Wooster on the corner of 250 and 83. These are all about five or six miles from the village. The park has a port a pot available through the year, but is often missing in the winter. One of these gas stations is your best bet because the restaurants also do not have restrooms (to my knowledge).
