Are you ready for another 30 minutes of crazy fun? Well, the world famous Guam Geocachers are participating in the World Wide Flash Mob Event. The information is as follows:
WWFM XIX (2022) - Pose N Pokey
Date: Saturday, September 24, 2022
Time: 8:30 am - 9:00 am (Only 30 minutes!)
Where: Statue of Liberty Park - Paseo
This is one in a Series of World Wide Flash Mob Events that will occur simultaneously on September 24, 2022. It is a gathering of Geocachers, their families and friends.
This event will only be 30 minutes long! You MUST be present to claim the event.
About the Event
This event is in conjunction with dozens of other World Wide Flash Mob (WWFM) events that will be held simultaneously around the world. Come be a part of a worldwide caching event, with potentially thousands of participants!
You've heard of mega-events? This is quite the opposite in a variety of ways. The event will last exactly 30 minutes, not one second longer. The event will begin PRECISELY at 8:30 am Guam Standard Time on Saturday, September 24, 2022.
The event will be held at Statue of Liberty Park in Paseo. Our theme this year will be "Pose N Pokey" so there is nothing special that you need to bring to the event except yourselves.
8:30 am - Meet at the Statue of Liberty. Gather in front of it and everyone will pose like Lady Liberty. Bring any props that you may have to help make this even more fun! After we take our group picture in various poses, we will then perform "The Hokey Pokey" and entertain anyone who may be around at the time.
8:45 - 8:55 am - Mix and Mingle with other cachers! The event "meal" and "drinks" will be served.
8:55 - 9:00 am - Clean up and prepare to leave the area.
9:00 am - LEAVE the area!
If everything goes right we will have a "mob" of geocachers come together, strike a pose with Lady Liberty, dance the Hokey Pokey, enjoy a few minutes of fun, and then disappearing. This should be lots of fun and maybe even raise a few muggle eyebrows.
Note: Although participants are welcome to get together after the event, the event will officially be over at 10:30 am. Afterwards, participants may chat, meet, eat and plan for a day of caching. We just ask that these arrangements be done away from the event area.
We are looking for a volunteer to record this event as well as a person to take pictures. Please let me know if you can assist with this.
