黒崎駅は、JR九州鹿児島本線の駅ですが、折尾駅より筑豊本線直方方面へ直通する福北ゆたか線も乗り入れており、その起点とされています。
北九州市では、小倉に次ぐ副都心として繁華街かつ歓楽街を形成しています。一方で、工場が洞海湾沿岸に立地し、北九州工業地帯の一郭を形成しており、その対照的な景色が印象に残るスポットです。
また、長崎街道「黒崎宿」は、江戸時代には福岡と小倉両藩の境界にあり、 福岡藩では唯一の上方への渡航船が発着する港をもつ宿場町でした。現在は木屋瀬宿に向かって、当時の街道を偲ばせる松並木などがあります。

Kurosaki Station is on the JR Kyushu Kagoshima Main Line, but also serves as the starting point for the Fukuhoku Yutaka Line, which runs directly from Orio Station to Nogata on the Chikuho Main Line.
In Kitakyushu City, it is the second subcenter after Kokura, forming a downtown and entertainment district. On the other hand, factories are located along the coast of Dokai Bay, forming part of the Kitakyushu Industrial Zone, and the contrasting scenery is a spot that leaves a lasting impression.
Kurosaki-syuku, on the Nagasaki kaido, was located on the border between the Fukuoka and Kokura clans in the Edo period, and was the only post town in the Fukuoka clan to have a port for ships traveling to Kamigata (the upper part of Japan). Today, the road is lined with pine trees and other trees that remind us of the road in those days, as it heads toward Koyanose-syuku.
