Byer Cemetery Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Jimmy Z: I have been checking on my caches today. The container had lost its O-ring and the insides were wet. I figured it was time to archive it.

Geocache Description:

Byer Cemetery

This will be the second time I have placed a cache in this little-know cemetery.  The first time I placed a cache here I did it because the reservoir was easily seen from this vantage point.  (See archived cache GC3CEFV Reservoir Dogs).

This time it is to honor this place and take you near the grave of a  solider.  John Gearhart was born in Switzerland in 1744, found in the Revolution War, and died on October 12th, 1817.  His original gravestone has seen better days, but a new marker was erected more recently.  Find the cache, but please respect the sanctity of the cemetery.

I have placed a small cache in a tree on the northeast portion of the graveyard near the farm field.  There is room for small trade items.
