North DeKalb Mall, which opened in 1965, has suffered the fate of most malls across the US. Just a few stores occupy this building, which is mostly abandoned. In 2003 there were plans to build a Costco on this site but that folded. After Covid-19, the mall is all but closed, with the exception of an AMC, Marshall's, a Dollar Tree, and a post office. It's been used as a site for filming, but now it's just an eyesore. You'll likely see the parking lot is used to hold brand new Teslas.
