The WEGT (Whittlesea Event Gadget Trail) series, is a series of family friendly Gadget caches, placed for the Whittlesea Event 2022 (19th-20th November 2022 – GC8EW40). The trail may expand over time, so keep your eye out for new additions.
The City of Whittlesea is very large, covering 490sq kms and many suburbs, including the urban areas of Whittlesea township, Epping, Lalor, Mill Park, South Morang, Mernda and parts of Doreen and Bundoora. It also includes the rural areas of Donnybrook, Eden Park, Humevale, Kinglake West, Wollert, Woodstock and parts of Beveridge and Yan Yean.
Most of the caches in this series will be easy to find but slightly harder to open.
They will all be simple field puzzles with a different trick to open each one.
Please be gentle with each cache, we want them to last for others to enjoy. They will open easily when you apply the correct technique.
Ensure to reset the cache to its locked state before leaving, so it is ready for the next team to enjoy.
Watch out for snakes in the hotter weather.
Most importantly, we hope we add a smile to your day.
The cache:
Please remember when replacing the cache lid to ensure that you re-lock it - it is colour coded to help (match colours).
Cache is in a plastic camo container as it is not water proof. Please replace and rehide after signing.
