Geocache Description:

This regular size cache is located along the far southern edge of the oldest cemetery in Cumberland County, Illinois, with the earliest grave being that of a little girl about one year old, buried in 1812. This is also the largest cemetery in the county, being 25 acres, and containing over 4,200 graves. Not far from the cache are the graves my GGGrandfather and grandmother, Thornton & Elizabeth Ward, and a GGUncle James Ward. An easy trek of about 100 yards is required through the south end of the cemetery to reach the cache site. Children friendly. Not available 24/7 - daylight to sundown only. There is also another Geocache at the far northern end of this same cemetery.
